Opal Hughes

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Springtown for Opal 
Hughes, 77, of Fort Worth who died Thursday, Sept. 27.

Mrs. Hughes was born in Ben Franklin, the daughter of Clifton and Blanche Free.

She was a singer and member of the Joy Singers.

Services were held Monday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.

Burial was at Springtown Cemetery.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by husband Albert Hughes; son Jerry Hughes and wife 
Stacey of Fairfield; daughter Deborah Ray and husband Lynn of Palo Pinto; 
grandchildren Chris, James, Misty, Michelle, Brianna, Chayanne and Tifnie; 
great-grandchildren Wyatt, Destin and Trevor; brother Roy Free of Paris; and 
sister Mary Moses of Bonham.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clifton and Blanche Free; brother 
William Free; and sister Oneida Free.
