      Hughes rites set at Wortham Sunday
      
 Funeral services for R. L. Hughes, 82, of Wortham, will be held Sunday at 2 in 
Wortham First Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Wortham Cemetery, under the
direction of Porter and Holmes Funeral Home.
 Surviving are his wife, Lillian of Wortham; three sons, Bernard Hughes of 
Dallas, Ramson Hughes of Broken Arrow, Okla., and James Hughes of Wylie; a
brother, Harold Hughes of Tehucana; four sisters, Pellie Clark of Dallas, Myra
Winstead of Wortham, Geneva Hughes of Waco and Virgie Shafey of Tioga; 20 
grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
