Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Forest "Red" Hullum (Died April 13, 2011) Forest "Red" Hullum Funeral services for Mr. Forest “Red” Hullum were held on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 2:00p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Steve Cowart officiated. Interment followed the services at Driver Cemetery. Mr. Hullum passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield. He was born in Teague on August 4, 1928 to Tex and Mary Davis Hullum. He married Hilda on August 15, 1948 and shared over sixty-two years together until being separated by her death on August 20, 2010. Mr. Hullum worked as a conductor for the railroad until his retirement. He enjoyed visiting with people and was part of the Teague Dairy Queen coffee drinkers group every day while his health permitted. Mr. Hullum was a member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Wayman Hullum & wife Linda of Teague; his daughter, Patti Hullum Messier & husband Roy of Frisco; one granddaughter, Jennifer Wallace of Fort Worth; three grandsons, Jason Hullum of Teague, Matthew Sanders of Fort Worth, and Justin Hullum of Teague; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
