Forest "Red" Hullum

Funeral services for Mr. Forest “Red” Hullum were held on Saturday, April 16, 
2011, at 2:00p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Steve Cowart 
officiated. Interment followed the services at Driver Cemetery.

Mr. Hullum passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at East Texas Medical 
Center in Fairfield. He was born in Teague on August 4, 1928 to Tex and Mary 
Davis Hullum. He married Hilda on August 15, 1948 and shared over sixty-two 
years together until being separated by her death on August 20, 2010. Mr. 
Hullum worked as a conductor for the railroad until his retirement. He enjoyed 
visiting with people and was part of the Teague Dairy Queen coffee drinkers 
group every day while his health permitted. Mr. Hullum was a member of Eighth 
Avenue Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Wayman Hullum & wife Linda of Teague; his daughter,
Patti Hullum Messier & husband Roy of Frisco; one granddaughter, Jennifer 
Wallace of Fort Worth; three grandsons, Jason Hullum of Teague, Matthew 
Sanders of Fort Worth, and Justin Hullum of Teague; eight great-grandchildren;
one great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and 
friends.

Mr. Hullum was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Hullum.

FOREST ‘RED’ HULLUM

Funeral services were held Saturday at Bowers Funeral Home of Teague for 
Forest ‘Red’ Hullum, 82, of Teague who died April 13 at East Texas Medical 
Center of Fairfield.

Interment followed at Driver Cemetery of Freestone county.

Mr. Hullum was born August 4, 1928 to Tex and Mary Davis Hullum of Teague.

On August 15, 1948, he married his wife Hilda with whom he spent more than 62
years with until her death on August 20, 2010.

Mr. Hullum worked as a conductor for the railroad until his retirement.

He enjoyed visiting with people and was part of the Teague Dairy Queen coffee 
drinkers group every day while his health permitted and was a member of Eighth
Avenue Baptist Church of Teague.

Mr. Hullum was preceded in death by his wife Hilda.

He is survived by children Wayman Hullum and wife Linda of Teague and Patti 
Hullum Messier and husband Roy of Frisco; grandchildren Jennifer Wallace and 
Matthew Sanders, both of Fort Worth and Justin Hullum of Teague; eight great-
grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews; other
relatives and friends.

Officiating services was Steve Cowart.

Making arrangements was Bowers Funeral Home of Teague.
