All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Fairfield Recorder newspaper, Nov 6, 1986 issue Inez Lee Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 19, at First Baptist Church of Streetman for Freestone county native Inez Lee who died after a long illness on Saturday, Oct 18, at her home. Mrs. Lee was born Nov. 14, 1907, to George Boone Anderson and Ila Mary Darden Anderson and was a lifelong resident of Freestone county. She was married Nov 12, 1932, to Leonard G. Lee who preceeded her in death on May 1, 1975. The Anderson family were early settlers in Texas, arriving in the state in 1819 and settling in the San Augustine area. Several members of the family participated in the Texas Revolution. The Darden family came to Texas from Georgia, arriving in Freestone county in 1869 after first living in the Livingston and Big Sandy area. Mrs. Lee was buried at Saint Elmo Cemetery. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Alice Lee; a son-in-law, Fred Lee of Streetman; three grandchildren Karen Lee of Irving, Kevin Lee of Dallas and Kimberly Lee of Streetman; and a twin sister, Irene Walker of Winkler.
