Kirven S. Irwin

Kirven S. Irwin, 89, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999.
   
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Second Baptist Church with the Rev.
Charles Jones officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial
Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
   
Mr. Irwin was born in Wortham, graduated from Ashtola High and came to Amarillo
in 1941 from Borger. He worked for Phillips Petroleum for 33 years until his
retirement in 1969, and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
   
He married Evelyn Jones in 1931. He was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell
Irwin, in 1995.
   
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Vern Irwin and Jerry Irwin, both of
Houston and Terry Irwin of New Orleans; a brother, Lionel Irwin of Harlingen; a
sister, Thella Jones of Walsenburg, Colo.; six grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
   
The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life
Enrichment Center.
