Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder February 09, 2008 Mattie Mae James Funeral services were held last weekend for Mattie Mae James, 76, of Teague who died Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Mrs. James was born in 1931 on Aug. 18. Services were at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the First Baptist Church of North Teague with Larry Rose and E.J. Malone officiating. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery in Teague. Mrs. James is survived by children Brenda Tutt and husband Lonnie of Teague, Kathleen Lindley and husband Wilmer of Lancaster, Bobby James and wife Daphne of Dallas, and Era James of Teague; siblings Doris Burns and husband Lonnie of Dallas, Alene “Tiny” Smith of Dallas, and Eugene Hall of Kilgore; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; and friends Alpha Bess Dixon and Odessa Mims.
