MOTHER OF FAIRFIELD WOMAN DIES AT HOME IN TEAGUE

The editor regrets to chronical the death of the wife of our old friend,
Mr. J. C. Davis, which occured Monday night at the family home in Teague.
Mrs. Davis was aged 73 and the family moved from Tennesse to Fairfield 30
years ago. She is survived by her husband and the following children: J. C.
Davis, Stepson of Teague, Mrs. W. L. Lott of Fairfield, Mrs. A. B. Geppert
of Teague, Shep Davis of Fort Worth, Mrs. Tex Hollum near Teague, Mrs. Vesta
Webb of Dallas, and a brother, Mr. William Garretson of Grapeland.

Deceased has been a consistent christian and a member of the Methodist
Church for many years. Her remains were interned in the Pyburn Cemetery
Tuesday afternoon in the presents of a large circle of sorrowing friends and
relatives. Mr. Davis has been quite ill several days, but it was reported
better.
