The Teague Chronicle - 25 April 1918 edition Death of Watt Jefferson Watt Jefferson died at the home of his brother, William, in Teague Fri. morning at 11:20 after a few months illness. Funeral services were conducted at the city cemetery by Rev. E.M. Francis Fri. afternoon where interment was made. Mr. Jefferson was a little over 62 years old and survived by his brother, William, a sister Mrs. Ora Tatum, both of whom reside in Teague. Deceased was born in the Mills community and has spent the greater part or all his life in Freestone County. The past few years of which were spent in Teague where he conducted a transfer line in connection with the King brothers store. He was a quiet, inoffensive man and took very little interest in public affairs. He was never married.
