Elfie L. Jenkins

Funeral services were held for Elfie Lorene Jenkins Saturday at Capps Memorial
Chapel in Fairfield with L. H. Manning officiating. Born in Alvaton, Kentucky,
Mrs. Jenkins was a resident of Athens and she died February 15 in Athens at the
age of 100. Interment was at Pilgram Cemetery in Elkhart.
Surviving Mrs. Jenkins are her grandson Mike Jenkins and wife Donna of
Crossroads; niece Melba Blocker of Meridian; great grandchildren Brandon Jenkin
and wife Holly, Micka Jenkins, Christopher Jenkins and Bradley Jenkins all of
Crossroads; great great grandchildren  Blake Jenkins, Dylan Jenkins and B. J.
Jenkins all of Crossroads and special friend Beverly Robertson.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Vance and Prilla Hickey;
husband Homer Elvis Jenkins; son William Wayne Jenkins and sister Wilma Ann
Kirby.
Pallbearers were Christopher Jenkins, Billy Lee, Brian Lee, Doug Rainwater,
Jason Rainwater, Jimmy Robertson, Ricky Robertson and Travis Robertson.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Stephen Wallind and James Arthus.
Arrangements were by Capps Memorial Chapel of Fairfield.
