Mrs. Bessie Jessie

Wake services were at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Ross and Johnson Mortuary for Mrs. 
Bessie Jessie, 85, a resident of Corsicana who died Saturday evening in the Mel 
Haven Convalescent Center. Funeral services were Saturday 1 p.m. in the Rhode 
Island United Methodist Church, Streetman. Rev. W. M. Davis will officiate. 
Burial will be in the Rhode Island Cemetery. Survivors include: two daughters, 
Mrs. Rose Anna Anderson of Corsicana; Mrs. Lillie F. Ealy of Fort Worth; six 
sons, Till Jessie, Cornell Jessie, and Tom Jessie, Jr. all of Fort Worth, Albert 
Jessie, and McKinley Jessie both of Houston, and Willie Jessie of Culver City, 
Calif.; six stepchildren, Booker T. Jessie of Fort Worth, Elmo Jessie and Robert 
Jessie both of Sacramento, Calif., Raleigh Jessie of Venture, Calif., Gilbert 
Jessie of Los Angeles, Calif., and Tommie Lucky of Phoenix, Arizona; 
grandchildren, great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and other 
relatives.
