Mr. Johnson was born May 1, 1926 in Jewett. He was a truck driver for Fred Owens Pipeline Company of Teague, and a member of First Baptist Church South in Teague. Services were conducted at Antioch Cemetery, with Apostle Z.D. Lyles of The Body of Christ Prayer and Worship Center in Neches, Texas officiating. Pallbearers were Steve Brookman, Louis Reynolds, Albert Reynolds, Orbie Hairston and Joe Garcia. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Martina Johnson of Teague; sons Troy L. Johnson, Jr. of Austin, Earl Johnson of Teague, Fred Johnson of Dallas, Larry, Rudy and Joe Garcia, all of Teague; Noel Garcia and wife Misty of Fairfield and Able Garcia of Iowa Park, Texas; Daughters Wanda Vaugh and husband Tommy of DeSoto, Darlene Lasley and husband Roberto of Grand Prairie; Lena Lyles and husband Zettrett of Neches; Earlinda Hairston of Teague; Delores Haynes and husband E.J. of Jewett; and Sylvia Guerrero and husband David of Houston; Sisters Melva Collins of Waco and Mable Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
