Funeral Services Held Aug 20 For Virgle Johnson

Mr. Virgle Eugene Johnson, 76, passed away August 20, in Teague General 
Hospital.

Services were held August 22, at Ricks Funeral Chapel, Teague, with Rev. O. D.
Christian officiatng and Rev. Royce Sanders assisting.  Internment was in 
Union Cemtery.

Mr. Johnson was born November 6, 1909, in Freestone Count.  He was affliated 
with the Baptist Church and was a Service Technician for Houston Natural Gas
Corporation.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille W. Johnson, Teague; three sons: Billie
Eugene Johnson, Houston; Eddie Rae Johnson, Houston; Jerry Wayne Johnson, 
Colleyville, Texas; three daughters-in-law: Vernall Johnson, Houston; Marsha
Johnson, Houston; Mildred Johnson, Colleyville.  One brother: Oneal Johnson,
Bellmead.

Other survivors include 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a host
of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Michael Johnson, Nolan Johnson, Eddie Johnson, Charles 
Epperson, Curtis Johnson, Ronnie Johnson.

Ricks Funeral Home, Teague, was in charge of arrangements.
