Johnson, after a lingering illness. The deceased was formerly Miss Ezra Edwards of this place, having been reared here from early childhood. She was a pleasant, popular and highly esteemed young lady, a member of one of our best and highly respected families. While she had been ill a long time, and her death was not unexpected, it was none the less sad to her many relatives and friends who loved her so well. Mrs. Johnson was a sister of our townsman R. M. Edwards, Esq. and a niece of Mrs. R. T. Johnson of this place. Her remains were interred last Monday at Mexia. The Recorder tenders sincere sympathy to the bereaved young husband and relatives, in the loss of one so dear to them.
