Verna Brown Johnson
  The Angelic Hosts came for Mr. Verna Brown Johnson on Friday, April 26, 2013 
at Kindred Hospital in Dallas, Texas. A viewing was from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM 
on Tuesday, April 30,, 2013 at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home at 406 Monroe Street 
in Teague, Texas. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:30 AM 
in the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church at 303 State Highway 75 North in Fairfield, 
Texas. Officiating was Apostle David D. Ransom, Sr., Pastor. Interment was at 
the Jerusalem Cemetery in Fairfield, Texas.
  Mr. Brown was born on September 1, 1933 to Rev. Allen and Naomi Johnson in 
Freestone County. He attended the Fairfield Public Schools and was a cook helper 
in various restaurants. He enjoyed singing in church, and was known for his 
favorite song: "You’ve Got To Move When The Lord Gets Ready."
  Verna leaves to cherish his memory: His sisters: Celestine Thomas and Lonnie 
Mae Johnson, both of Dallas; a special niece: Marcie Ransom, Fairfield, TX and 
a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
