MILDRED ATCHLEY (HUGHES) JONES 
(November 25, 1916 - September 3, 2006) 

Mrs. Mildred Atchley Jones, 89, of Rice passed away peacefully surrounded by 
friends at Twilight Nursing Home in Corsicana, Texas on Sunday, September 3, 
2006. She was born on November 25, 1916 in Freestone County, Texas. She was a 
longtime resident of Rice, and was retired from the Rice ISD. 

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 
the Rice Cemetery with Pastor Scott Schaller officiating. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver & Cora Hughes and her husband, 
Jess Atchley. 

She is survived by family, Close Friends, Susan & Bryan Whitley and their son, 
Joshua of Rice, Mrs. Era Rawlins of Rice and many others.
