Alynda Crysteen (Ransom) Jones

Funeral services were held Saturday for Alynda Crysteen Ransom Jones, 59, of 
Rosenberg who died Monday, May 11 at the Rosenberg Health and Rehabilitation 
Center.

Mrs. Jones worked at state schools in both Mexia and Richmond.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Johnson Williams and husband Roderick of 
Houston; siblings, Alfreda York of Houston, Mason Titus, Jr., and wife Helen of 
Houston, John Mims and wife Mary of Oakwood, Ernestine Lee and husband of 
Austin; grandchildren,

Crystal Brackens of Dallas, Nykea Keitt of Houston, Davian Brackens of Houston, 
Daylor Brackens and Rhiya Williams, both of Houston; stepchildren, Malindine and 
Matthew Jones, Jr. of Marshall; great-grandchildren, Jasiah Perkins of Marshall 
and Aliyah Prieston of Dallas; special friends, Joyce Strafford, Lois Gatson, 
Eugene "Jean" Cox and Paulette Gatson.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, at Fairfield's Mount Zion 
Missionary Baptist Church with E.A. Anderson and Revs. W.C. Anderson and 
Clifford McIveen officiating.

Interment followed at Hopewell Cemetery in Fairfield with Kieston Gatson, Vince 
Gatson, Tracy Garrett, Marc Ransom, Terrius Gatson, Frederick Gatson, Odell 
Johnson, III and Brian Johnson serving as pallbearers.

Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Moore's Angelic Funeral 
Home in Teague.
