Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder May 20, 2010 edition Roxie Dee Jordan Graveside services for Mrs. Roxie Dee Jordan, 79, were held May 15 at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Visitation was Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Jordan passed away May 11 at The Manor Nursing Home in Mexia. She was born in Purdon, TX on January 1, 1931, attended schools and grew up there. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She moved to Teague in 1963 and worked for several years at Sponky’s in Mexia and later managed the Senior Citizens Center in Teague. Mrs. Jordan enjoyed collecting angels and birds and going fishing. She loved to spend time with her family and looked forward to having family reunions. She is survived by eight daughters, Brenda Dunaway and husband Eddy of Temple, Linda Quimby of Teague, Sherry S. Webb and husband Curtis of Camp, Bobbie Webb of Mexia, Robbie Roberts and Rawles of Salem, Missouri, Joyce Gibson of Richardson, Peggy Glover and husband Danny of Mexia and Mary Ann Hadley of Mexia; one son, S. B. Jordan and wife Pam of Teague; 19 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
