The Bryan - College Station Eagle April 10, 2003 Elmer Justus Aug. 4, 1914 — April 8, 2003 JEWETT — Services for Elmer Justus, 88, of Jewett are set for 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Jewett. The Rev. James Engle of First Baptist Church and the Rev. Billy Bob Evans of Marquez Baptist will officiate. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery. Visitation will be at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday. Mr. Justus died Tuesday in Fairfield. He was born in Leon County and lived most of his life in Jewett. He was a car salesman and owned the Texaco in Jewett from 1942-50. Mr. Justus was a member of First Baptist Church of Jewett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nelia Rae Justus. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and George Ransone of Hilltop Lakes and Sue and John Noey of Marquez; a son, Wallace Elmer Justus of Jewett; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
