Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder newspaper - Feb 16, 2006 edition Jimmy Williams Funeral services were held Monday for Jimmy Williams at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Richard Gillet officiated over the ceremony. Mr. Williams died Friday at Parkview Regional Hospital at the age of 74. Born March 25, 1931 in Coppers Cove, Mr. Williams was a small business operator and was known in this area for running the Drive In Theatre at Fairfield and several other places. He ran the Nickelodeon on Main Street in Teague for many years. Mr. Williams was known for being dedicated to his businesses and working long hours all days of the week. He is survived by his sons James H. Williams, Jr. of Fairfield, Preston Williams of Arizona and Harlan Williams of Coriscana; daughter Tammy Self of Corsicana and grandchildren Kayla Williams of Teague, Christopher Williams of Corsicana and Nathan Self of Corsicana and special friend Shelia Rogers of West Monroe, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Williams. Casket bearers were Chris Self, Harlan Williams, Mark Missildine, Grady McAdams, Mike King and Roy Simmons. Honorary casket bearers were Blaine Bottoms and Mike Bonner. Arrangements were by Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home.
