John Youngblood

Services for John William Youngblood, 80, of Palestine will be held at a later
date and will be under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mr. Youngblood died Monday at his home.

He was born Aug. 30, 1925 in Teague to the late John Austin and Fannie Willena
Young Youngblood. He served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Sam Houston
State University. He taught for many years in the Palestine schools and was a
member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.

He is survived by a brother, James Robert Youngblood of Houston; sister, Nelda
J. Eppes of Palestine; two nephews and two nieces, Jerry Eppes of Houston,
Rhonda Harper of San Antonio, Tammy Norris of Palestine and James Keith
Youngblood of Florida.
