Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mexia Daily News - Mar. 18, 2005 edition Ozell Ray Keel Mrs. Ozell Ray Keel, 86, died Wednesday at Haven Nursing Home. She was born in Winkler on Aug. 28, 1918, along with her twin sister, Estelle Fay Talbot, to Harrison W. and Anna B. Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.T. (Dick) Keel; a grandson, Christopher Keel; and by seven sisters and two brothers and their spouses. Ozell and Dick were married March 17, 1940, lived in Waco and raised their two sons. They moved to Mexia in 1981 after Dick retired from General Tire and Rubber Company. Ozell worked in the home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mexia. Funeral services for Mrs. Keel will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in Porter Funeral Home. The Rev. Marcus Sheffield, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mexia Cemetery. Surviving are two sons, Dave Keel of Waco and Larry Keel and wife Martha of Mexia; two grandchildren, James Keel of Dallas and Amber Wright of Teague; two great-grandchildren, Kristopher and Keeley Wright; a brother-in-law, Oliver Keel and wife Christine of Athens; and many nieces and nephews.
