Freestone Co, Tx - Obit of Keziah Bonner (wife of William Archibald Huckaby) 
                           (b 10 Mar 1837; d 17 Sep 1924)

The Fairfield and Dew Circuit Rider, a Methodist newspaper, printed in Sep
1924:

"Mrs. Kissiah Huckaby, one of the oldest residents of Fairfield, passed away
Wednesday night and was buried Thursday in the Fairfield cemetery, a great
crowd of relatives and friends being present.

Aunt Kit as she was familiarly called was born in Alabama almost eighty seven
years ago.  She moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bonner, to Texas in an
early day, first settling near Steward's Mill but later moving to Fairfield
where she married Archer Huckaby.  To this union was born one son, Billy
Huckaby, who survives his mother. Her husband died a number of years ago but,
true to his memory, she remained single to the end.  The last few years of her
peaceful life here on earth were spent on an invalid bed, but she bore her
afflictions with the spirit of one who said, "Though He slay me, yet I will
trust in Him".   She was, for a long time, a member of the Presbyterian
Church."
