Maurice Otto Kiefert

Maurice Otto Kiefert, 96, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at The Gardens at 
Chisolm Trail Estates in Keene, Texas. He was born May 17, 1916 in Manistique, 
Michigan to Otto Kiefert and Delila Marie Burns. He has one brother, Warren 
Kiefert. All have preceded him in death.

Maurice married Evelyn Blissett on March 24, 1952 in Amarillo, Texas in the First 
Christian Church. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in March, 2012.

Maurice was an entrepreneur. He was successful in many businesses. He built 
buildings, restaurants, motels, and raised quarter horses. He and his wife 
Evelyn worked side by side in all of these endeavors. Maurice and Evelyn had no 
children, but many nieces and nephews. He has been residing at The Gardens at 
Chisolm Trail Estates in Keene, Texas since December of 2011.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Corley Funeral Home 
Chapel with Dr. Gary Brownlow officiating. Burial will be at Cade Cemetery.
