Freestone County, Texas Obits Mexia Daily News - November 16, 2006 edition Garlin Ray Kilgore Garlin Ray Kilgore, 71, of Wortham, died November 14, 2006, in Parkview Regional Hospital. He was born at Chilton on April 23, 1935, and had been a Lineman with SESCO in Mexia. Visitation is scheduled for this evening (Thursday) from 6 until 8 o’clock at Porter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Porter Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Marlin. Surviving are his wife, Anita Kilgore of Wortham; three daughters, Diana Smith of Waco, Sandi Park of Mexia and Patricia Wilcox of San Leon, Texas; two sons, Kenneth Ray Kilgore of Bedford and Tonny Ray Kilgore of Wortham; stepsons - Jimmie Don Taylor of Paradise, Rex Dee Minard, Jr., of San Antonio and Victor Middleton of Star; two brothers, Ernest Kilgore and Monroe Kilgore, both of Marlin; grandchildren - Tiffany Hughes of Phoenix, Arizona, Blair Hughes of Huntsville, Jenifer Miller of Axtell, Dena Watson of Mexia, Reba Huhn of Mexia, John Wayne Duke of Groesbeck, Christopher Duke of Rosenthal, Lee Ray Duke of Groesbeck, Kathryn Kilgore of Bedford, Cindy Kilgore of Bedford and Shelby Lynn Kilgore of Wortham; 22 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers are Chris Duke, John Duke, Lee Ray Duke, Kris Miller, Cody Kilgore and Sammy Pedroza.
