KING

ALLENE D. KING, age 96, of Houston, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2003.
Allene was born in Teague, Texas, to John and Amy Horton. She was an active 
member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Mrs. King was preceded in death
by her husband, Raymond W. King. 

She is survived by her nephews: Robert L. Horton, Jr. & wife, Susan; William 
P. Horton & wife, Carol; and Thomas E. Horton & wife, Margie; and numerous 
great nieces and nephews. 

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 9, 2003,
between the hours of 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 
September 10, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. 
Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, I-10 @ Eldridge. The family 
of Mrs. King would like to express their gratitude to caregivers Bobby Jean 
Miller and Ethel Brown.
