The Groesbeck Journal - 13 Oct 2005 edition: Creoler Banks Kirksey Funeral Services Held October 8 Mrs. Creoler Banks Kirksey, 53, of Houston passed away Saturday, October 1, 2005 at The Forum in Houston. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 8, at Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Teague. Rev. E.O. Riley, pastor of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Teague and Rev. Jacques Howard of Dallas officiated. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Kirksey was born September 9, 1952 in Teague. She lived in Teague and Houston. She was a cosmetologist technician and a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters Patricia Banks, Trin Webb (Bennie), Melody Banks and Serita Davis, all of Houston; sisters Christine Yeldell, (Billie) of Dallas, Jenell Banks of Houston and Sybil Burrell (Bobby) of Teague; brothers Edward Banks (Doris), Maurice Banks, Chauncey Banks (Hazel), Curtis Banks (Lelia) and Raymond Banks, all of Houston, McKinley Banks of Houston and Urban Banks, of Teague; aunts, Eugenia Scott of Centerville, Mary Liza Banks of Dallas; 14 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers were Nelson Edetan, Shawn Banks, Patrick Banks, Daniel Banks, Demorris Banks, Donald Ray Hutchison, Brandon Rowe, and Bernard Banks. Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of arrangements.
