All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Athens Review newspaper of Athens, TX - May 15, 2006 edition Minnie Inez Knight BROWNSBORO - Services for Minnie Inez Knight, 94, of Brownsboro, formerly of Teague, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, in the Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tobey Clements officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery near Teague. Mrs. Knight passed away Friday, May 12, 2006, at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. She was born April 26, 1912, n Buffalo to the late Alfred Frank and Mary Elizabeth Bain Henson. She lived in the Luna Community in Freestone County for 60 years, where she attended public school and the Baptist Church. She had resided in Brownsboro the past eight years. For 20 years, Mrs. Knight was employed as a Nurse's Aid with hospitals and nursing homes. She loved to fish and sew. Preceding her in death were her husband, Dolye Knight, in 1985; brothers, Varnell Henson, N.D. Henson and Marty Henson; and sisters, Estelle Johnson and Ruby Bottoms. Survivors include her loving companion of 12 years, Jack Russell of Brownsboro; sons, Wilbur Ray Knight, Sr. of Donie and William Danny Knight of Teague; daughter, Helen Knight Quick of Hurst; 10 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and a number of extended family, including her loving caregivers, Dusty and Dot Wise. Pallbearers will be grandsons Phillip Knight, Tim Knight and Bill Schow, and great-grandsons Kenneth Knight, Dusty Wise, and James Darden. Honorary pallbearers are John D. Knight, Lee Russell, Roger Russell, Harold Russell and Steve Wise.
