Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder newspaper March 26, 2009 Harold Louis Kreitner Funeral services will be held Thursday for Harold Louis Kreitner, 96, of Streetman who died Friday, March 20. Mr. Kreitner was born in Niagra Falls, Ontario, Canada on May 8, 1913. In June 1936, he became a naturalized citizen of the United States. Mr. Kreitner married Edith V. Grauer of Niagra Falls, New York in June of 1937. A year later, Harold's brother, Maurice, married Edith's sister, Ruth. In 1943, Mr. Kreitner went to work for Bell Aircraft's Wheatland Plant in Niagra Falls, New York. He and his family later moved to Richland Hills in 1951, where Mr. Kreitner assisted with the operations of the Bell Helicopter in Hurst. He retired from Bell Helicopter as a cost accountant in 1976. Mr. Kreitner was active in the establishment of the Richland Hills United Methodist Church. After the death of his wife Edith in August of 1974, Mr. Kreitner remarried. He and Opal Hardwood Males were wed in October of 1977. They were married for 24 years before her death in September of 2003. In January of 2005, Mr. Kreitner moved to Streetman to live with his daughter. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville. Mr. Kreitner is survived by his daughters, Judy Kreitner and Rev. Jan Kreitner- Cain; nephews Dick Kreitner and wife Debby, and Ron Kreitner and wife Marianne; stepchildren, Mike Males, Cindy Browning and Camille Young; grandchildren, Becky Dixon, Rick Dixon, Russ and Traci Dixon, and Melissa Cain; great-grandchildren, Nicole Dottin, DeAndre Cain, Brad Dixon, B.J. Dixon, Trey Cain, Dyllan Carpenter and Marcus Miller; and great-greatgranddaughter, Nevaeh Dottin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Kreitner; wife, Opal Kreitner; brother and sister in-law, Maurice and Ruth Kreitner; grandson, Jim Cain; parents, Oscar and Elsie Kreitner; and inlaws, Elmer and Anna Jeanette Grauer. Arrangements were made by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home of Fairfield.
