Lake Sr. "Pleas" Funeral services for P. S. (Pleas) Lake Sr., 83, a resident of Greenville for more than 50 years, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Coker-Mathews-Peters funeral home chapel. The Rev. Norman Taylor, pastor of Grace Presbyterian church and a former pastor, the Rev. Jessie A. Igig, of Electra, conducted the services. Burial was in Memoryland Memorial Park. Mr. Lake died in a hospital here Sunday. He was one of the leading automobile dealers and grocery merchants in this city in the early twentieth century. Mr. Lake whose home was at 3906 Houston, had been in a serious condition for the past eight months. He was critically ill for a week before he died.
