Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Pauline (Bonner) Lambert December 29, 1919 - October 15, 2010 Biography Mary Pauline Lambert, 90, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 in Fairfield. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at Bonner Cemetery with Rev. Jack McDaniel officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Viewing will be available from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010 and on Monday from 8 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Lambert was born December 29, 1919 in the Bonnerville community to parents, Paul Y. and Lula May Willard Bonner. She married Bert B. Lambert on February 19, 1938 in Fairfield. Earlier in her life she was employed as a teller at the Fairfield State Bank. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was an original member of the Victory Sunday School Class serving as both president and secretary of the class and president of the W.M.A. She was a member of the Fairfield Chapter 331, Order of the Eastern Star where she was a past Worthy Matron and received her 25 year pin in 1987. She was a charter member of the Wilbur H. Bailey VFW Post 5872 Ladies Auxiliary and received a lifetime membership plaque in 1987. She was a past member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and a granddaughter. Pauline’s first interest was her family. She loved to cook and can. In July of this year she canned chili sauce and beets. Back in the 70’s Pauline canned over 500 quarts of vegetables. Pauline and Bert spent a lifetime traveling. She traveled in 49 states, except for Alaska and traveled twice to Hawaii. She also made it to many Canadian provinces including Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. J.H. Keller, “Dr.” Pat Robertson, David Barnes, Richard Kenard, John Gordon Small, Duane West and Lindale Phillips. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Bert B. Lambert; two children, Gloria Jeanette Wright and Gary B. Lambert; a brother, Carl Y. Bonner; one grandson; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
