Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Mexia Daily News September 24, 2007 Mrs. Doris Margaret (Pyburn) Lancaster Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Margaret Pyburn Lancaster, 89 of Teague will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2007 in First United Methodist Church in Teague. Rev. Jeff Powers will officiate with interment following in the Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Visitation with the family will be 5 - 7 p.m. Saturday night, September 22, in the First United Methodist Church in Teague. Mrs. Lancaster was born November 25, 1917 in Teague to pioneer Freestone County family Oscar Eugene and Edna Davis Pyburn and passed away on September 20, 2007 in Groesbeck, Texas. She was known for her water color artistry, was a talented seamstress and avid flower gardener. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Teague. She was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother. Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her husband, Astol Thomas Lancaster of Teague, Sons, Terry Lancaster of Teague, Bobby Lancaster and wife, Barbara of Glen Rose, Daughters: Penny Carpenter and husband, Don of Teague and Jill Harryman and Husband, Jimmy of Groesbeck; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
