Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Anita (Moore) Lancaster September 15, 1917 - October 30, 2015 Anita Moore Lancaster, 98, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Lancaster was born September 15, 1917 in Freestone County to parents, Joe Cannon and Emma Beasley McGuire Moore. For some forty years she and her husband William Thomas (W.T.) Lancaster lived in Houston returning to Fairfield in 1979 following retirement. Mr. Lancaster preceded her in death on May 13, 1990. Mrs. Lancaster during her working years worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and retired from Southern Pacific Railroad. She was a long time member of Round Prairie Baptist Church where she was organist until the last few years. She also was a former leader of the children’s choir at the church. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, James E. Moore and J. C. Moore; and a sister, Doris Greer. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Perry Lynn Lancaster of Mesa, Arizona; Gary Glen Lancaster and wife Susan of Fairfield; two grandchildren, Tammy Schoeneberg and husband Terry of Fairfield; Clayton Lancaster of Tennessee; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Lancaster; Tristan Schoeneberg; Nolan Schoeneberg.
