Bonnie Joyce (Bodine) Lane


Bonnie Joyce (Bodine) Lane was born Feb. 25, 1931, in Shelbyville, and passed 
away Feb. 26, 2023, in Livingston, at the age of 92.

She is survived by her daughter Ann Wilkins and husband Tommy of Livingston, 27 
grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren and many 
relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband J.R. Lane; six 
sons, Robert Lane, Jimmy Lane, Terry Lane, Mark Lane, Danny Lane, David Lane; 
two daughters April Crook and husband Gary, and Jeana Lane; three grandchildren; 
her parents H.L. and Essie Bodine; and brothers Joe Bodine and wife Betty, and 
James Bodine and wife Jean.

She was a long-time resident of Fairfield. Her family meant everything to her, 
and nothing made her happier than a game of rummy around the table.

But if you “bought” the card she wanted you might get your hand slapped and 
called a name. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles.

She was an avid T.V. watcher and loved Wheel of Fortune, The Price Is Right, 
Swamp People and Judge Judy. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation was from 1011 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral 
Home with the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial followed at 
Wheelock Cemetery near Flo.
