FREESTONE WORLD WAR VETERAN DIES IN NEW MEXICO

George Lewis, a one time resident of this place, died in New Mexico Thursday.
Mr. Lewis was gased while serving his country over seas. He has been suffering
from tuberculosis for several years. The body was shipped back here and the
remains were laid to rest in the Woodland Cemetery Sunday afternoon in the
presents of a large crowd of friends and relatives. The decease leaves a wife
and two small children , also a large number of friends and relatives in
Streetman to mourn his death. The enterprise extends sympathy to the bereaved
ones.
