Arnold Lewis

Arnold Lewis, 78, of Streetman passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002 at his
residence.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Capps Memorial Chapel
in Fairfield.

Graveside services with masonic rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Elmo
Cemetery.

Mr. Lewis was born Nov. 28, 1924 in Winkler. He retired from the U.S. Army in
1968 after serving during World War II in France and Germany and in Korea
during the Korean War. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 826 in Winkler. He
attended Navarro Junior College and received a bachelor of science degree from
Baylor University.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Laura Knowles Lewis;
sisters, Evelyn Lewis and Geraldine Metcalf; brother, Gordon Lewis; and niece,
Joyce Metcalf.

Survivors include his sister, Mozelle Carmichael and husband Johnny of
Seagraves; brothers, Donald Lewis and wife June of Corsicana, Mack Lewis and
wife Alberta of Montgomery, Ala., and Bobby Lewis and wife Joan of Houston;
sister-in-law, Oma Lewis of Corsicana; nieces, Suzanne Ortiz, Rhonda Russell
and Denice Lewis; and nephews, Jimmy Metcalf, Bobby Metcalf, Johnny Carmichael
Jr., Tim Carmichael, Kenneth Lewis, Ronny Lewis, Jeff Lewis and Scotty Lewis.
