Freestone County, Texas Obituary The Fairfield Recorder newspaper - Thursday, July 27, 2006 edition Benita (Butcher) Lindley Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 25 in Jewett for Benita Lindley, 82, of Humble who died Saturday, July 22 in Humble. Mrs. Lindley was born April 19, 1924 in Freestone county to Marvin and Mary Jane Butcher. She lived in many different places throughout her life but spend her final two years in Humble. Until retirement, she was a line supervisor at Texas Instruments. She was a Baptist. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery, with Bro. Roy Fikac officiating. Mrs. Lindley is survived by three daughters, Barbara Burlew of Humble, Jeanette Donalson of Shepherd, and Cathy Perry of Tomball; a son, Alton Lindley of Sweeny; Grandchildren Rusty Hicks, Sandy Allen, Robby Killebrew, Tracy Durham, Joey Martin, Drew Martin, Michelle Lindley and Darrin Lindley; four sisters, Viola Latham of Kirvin, Nettie Ann Latham of Teague; Doris Webb of Teague and Janie Padgett of Porter; Three brothers, Marvin (Bubba) Butcher of Porter, Buddy Butcher of Tarkington and Henry Butcher of Splendora; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Lindley; two sisters, Ruth McIntyre and Louise Latham; a brother, William Maurice Butcher; and a grandson, Robert Hicks.
