Miller Funeral Services Held Monday Limuel Garvis (Buddy) Miller passed away peacefully at his home, May 27, 2005 surrounded by his family. Buddy was born June 2, 1911 in Wortham to Sallie Craig and Branford H. Miller and lived most of his life in Freestone and Limestone Counties. He worked his younger years as a farmer. On August 8, 1942 he married Eva Rogers of Wortham. He was in the army from 1942 to 1945 serving our country during WWII. He was employed for twenty-seven years by Brown Oil & Gas from which he retired in 1976. He always had a deep love and commitment to family, giving sacrificially at a young age to care for his siblings. Buddy enjoyed hunting and loved fishing along the Trinity River. Services for Mr. Miller were Monday, May 30 at the Blair-Stubbs Chapel with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Burial followed in the Wortham Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Eva; his children: Linda Messer of Mexia, Joan Roberts of Temple, Ronnie and Tammy Miller of Mexia, Don and Kay Ellis of Grand Prairie, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, four brothers and one grandson."
