The Bryan - College Station Eagle April 30, 2002 Thomas Clayton ‘Tom’ Long Sept. 10, 1951 — April 28, 2002 CAMERON — Services for Thomas Clayton “Tom” Long, 50, of Gause are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron. Lt. David Bynum, U.S. Navy, will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery. Mr. Long died Sunday in a Fairfield hospital. He was born in Center, Texas, and was the ranch manager for Wayne Fisher Beefmasters. He was a member of the ATM Church of Christ and the Beefmasters Breeders Universal, American Quarterhorse Association, U.S. Team Roping and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Thomas Long of Gause; three sons, Adam Long of Childress, Texas, David Long of San Marcos and Clay Long of Midland; two daughters, Tara Long of San Marcos and Kelly Long of College Station; his mother, Eula Long of Shelbyville, Texas; and a brother, Travis Long of Shelbyville.
