Reba Long

Reba Long, 94, of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Fairfield. 
Graveside services were 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Fairfield Cemetery 
with David Filis officiating.

Mrs. Long was born August 28, 1918 in Limestone County; to parents James Jackson 
Alford and Gertrude Long Alford. She had been a Freestone County resident since 
1940. She was retired from the Mexia State School. In addition to her parents 
she was preceded in death by one daughter, Patsy Jones; two granddaughters, Donna 
Parker Dunn and Jennifer Jones; five brothers and four sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are three children, Jackie Parker of Fairfield; 
Glenda Gay Phillips of Bossier City, LA; Tom Long of Fairfield; four 
grandchildren, Christopher Parker; Becky Pierce and husband Richard; James Jones; 
Chancey Sanders and husband David; five greatgrandchildren, Christina Morgan and 
husband Chris; Don Dunn; Brittany Mathison and husband Ross; Samantha Sanders; 
Sage Pierce; three great- great- grandchildren, Elizabeth Mathison; Carson 
Matthieson; Kathryn Morgan; one brother, Rusty Alford and wife Carole of Bay 
City; one sister, Jo Perdue of Mansfield.
