Lonidier died Monday in his home at Richland-Chambers with his family around him. Mr. Lonidier was well traveled and spent many years working in the oil and gourmet foods industry. He retired at Richland-Chambers and pursued his passion for fishing, cooking and spending time with his four grandchildren. He was known for his positive spirit and he took great pride in being a husband, brother and grandfather. Mr. Lonidier was born May 25, 1943 in Leesville, Louisiana. Funeral services were held Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church with Kelton McCann officiating. Interment was at St. Elmo Cemetery. Surviving Mr. Lonidier are his spouse of 43 years Carol Lonidier; daughters Tammy and husband Roland Risinger and Candace and husband Greg Mudd; sister Renee and husband Roland Risinger and grandchildren Jordan, Jessica and Zachary Guidry and Madalyn Mudd. He is also survived by his niece Brittany Smith and countless friends and family. Mr. Lonidier is preceded in death by his son James Keith Lonidier. In lieu of flowers the family request that expressions of sympathy be made to Providence Hospice in Mexia. He retired at Richland-Chambers Reservoir and pursued his passion of fishing, cooking and building memories with his four grandchildren. Jim faced every challenge with a positive spirit and took great pride in being a husband, brother and granddaddy. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at New Hope Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church with Kelton McCann officiating. Interment will follow at St. Elmo Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his son, James Keith Lonidier.
