Lucas, Mrs. Janie Ura of Rockdale & Pasadena. Age 80. Died 4/1973 (Thursday) 
in a Pasadena Nursing Home where she had been the past 3 years. Services held 
(Sunday) in Phillips & Luckey Chapel, Rockdale. Burial in IOOF Cemetery. Rev.
Stewart Bell, pastor of St.John's United Methodist Church, officiated. She was
born 1/12/1893 in Teague, daughter of the late M/M. L.C. Carter. Married A.L. 
Lucas on 9/12/1912 in Fairfield. Preceded in death by husband in 10/1968 and a
son, Dalton, died on 11/1948. Survivors: 2 sons, Doyle Lucas of Pasadena and 
Avon Lucas of Deer Park; niece, Mrs. Ura Joy Basey of Austin; 3 sisters, Mrs.
Sallie McWilliams of Baytown, Mrs. Nina Thomas of Palestine, Mrs. Ara Nicholas
of Ft.Worth; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
