ANNIE DORA CARTER LUCAS

The Angelic Hosts came for Mrs. Annie Dora Carter Lucas on Sunday, October 26, 
2014 at Baylor T. Boone Pickens Hospital in Dallas, Texas among loving family and 
devoted friends. A viewing was held Friday, October 31, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 
7:00 PM at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home, 406 Monroe Street, Teague, Texas.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Moore’s Angelic Funeral 
Home Chapel and interment followed at Wortham Cemetery in Wortham, Texas.

Annie Dora Carter was born September 23, 1927 to Charlie Carter and Dora (Morgan) 
Carter in Kirvin, TX. She was the ninth of ten children born to this union. As a 
child she attended F.W. Wheeler Public School.

Ann, as she is best known, married Phelix Lucas of Bryan, Tx and moved to Fort 
Worth, Tx. After their divorce she returned to Mexia, Tx where she took care of 
her mother until her mother’s death.

Ann developed a career at the Mexia State School from which she retired. She 
became very active in community affairs. Everyone who knew her knew that she had 
three loves: family, cooking and gardening.

Her family was at her side when she stepped off of time onto eternity Sunday 
morning October 26th at 7:30 a.m. She has left to mourn her passing her one and 
only daughter Debra of Dallas, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, 
cousins, church family and friends.

Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home will serve the family of Annie Lucas.
