Funeral services for Steven Lynch will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 
2:00p.m. at First Baptist Church in Teague. Bro. Darrell Beggs and Bro. Shannon
Hopkins will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Greenwood 
Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday with the family present from 6:00
p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Steven passed away on Saturday, August
25, 2007. He was born in Temple, but lived almost all his life in Teague. He
attended Teague schools beginning in Pre-K and would have started his Junior 
year at Teague High School on Monday, August 27, 2007. As a child, he enjoyed
numerous little league sports including soccer, football, and baseball. He 
loved going fishing, riding four-wheelers, and spending time with his friends.
He was especially close to his brothers, Ryan and Keegan. He is survived by
his parents, Ricky & Crystal Lynch of Teague; sisters, Nicole Evans & husband 
Dennis Jr. of Waco and Jessica Lynch & finance’ Chris Poole of Teague; three 
brothers, Pete Lynch of Bryan, Ryan Lynch and Keegan Lynch both of Teague; 
maternal grandmother, Linda Ethridge of Hallsville; paternal grandmother, 
Dollie Smith of Marlin; paternal grandfather, Donald Homeyer of Hearne; 
paternal great-grandmother, Mildred Smelscer of Marlin; nephew, Christopher 
Poole of Teague; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Steven was 
preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Bennie Jones; his 
paternal great-grandfather, Sydney Smelscer; and his cousin, James Chatterton.

Steven Lynch

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Steven Lynch, 16, of Teague who died
Saturday, Aug. 25.

Mr. Lynch was born August 3, 1991, in Temple.

He attended Teague ISD beginning in kindergarten and would have started his 
junior year the Monday following his death.

Visitation for family was held Monday, Aug. 27 and services were conducted at 
2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Teague with Darrell Beggs and Shannon
Hopkins officiating.

Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Lynch is survived by his parents, Ricky and Crystal Lynch of Teague; 
sisters, Nicole Evans and husband Dennis Jr. of Waco and Jessica Lynch and
fiancé Chris Poole of Teague; brothers, Pete Lynch of Bryan, Ryan Lynch and
Keegan Lynch both of Teague; maternal grandmother, Linda Etheridge of 
Hallsville; paternal grandmother, Dollie Smith of Marlin; paternal grandfather,
Donald Homeyer of Hearne; paternal great-grandmother, Mildred Smelscer of 
Marlin; nephew, Christopher Poole of Teague; numerous aunts, uncles, and 
cousins.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Bennie Jones; his 
paternal great-grandfather, Sydney Smelscer; sister, MacKena Lynch; and his
cousin, James Chatterton.
