Richard Gillet officiating. Military honors followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. May was born November 20, 1921 in Freestone County. He was raised in Teague and graduated from Teague High School in 1939. He joined the United States Air Force on May 8, 1941 and served overseas during World War II and was honorably discharged on December 12, 1945. He worked many years in Houston before returning to Teague in 1991. He was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad for over 40 years. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Mr. May is survived by his wife Billye May of LaPorte, Texas, and three sons, Doug May and wife Mary of Deer Park, Texas, Mike May and wife Brenda of LaPorte, Texas, and John May and wife Karen of Houston. Seven grandchildren and two and one-half great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and sister Geraldine Thoss and husband Preston of McAllen, Texas.
