Johnnie Mae Mabry

Funeral services were held Wednesday for Johnnie Mae Mabry, 93, of Rusk who died 
Sunday, May 4, in a hospice in Tyler.
Mrs. Mabry was born in Helmic on May 20, 1914 to John Quincy and Mary Etta 
Davidson Hicks.
She was a longtime resident of Rusk and a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church 
in Rusk.
Services were conducted at Salem Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Tommy Mabry 
with interment following at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Mrs. Mabry's grandsons.
Mrs. Mabry is survived by her son Tommy Mabry and wife Sandra of Rusk; daughters 
Cynthie Smith and husband Norman of Houston, Bessie Fritz and husband Laymon of 
Conroe, and Janis Campbell and husband Tommy of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; and 26 
great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Henry Mabry; son Capt. Donald H. Mabry; 
daughter Irma Jean Lloyd; and great grandchildren Justin Fritz and Kayla Denn.
Arrangements were made by Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home of Rusk.
