Johnnie Maggard

Johnnie Maggard, 84, of Teague, died April 14, 1991, at the Fairfield Memorial 
Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ricks Funeral Home Chapel in Teague with the 
Rev. Walter Brown officiating. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery in Emhouse.

He was born Dec. 10, 1906, in Texas and had resided in Freestone County since 
1941. He was a retired manager of Lone Star Gas Co. He was an active member of 
the Teague Volunteer Fire Department and had served as chief of the Teague 
Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Teague Chamber of Commerce and 
a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pansy Maggard of Teague; three sons, Jerry 
Maggard of Teague, William Maggard of Huntsville and Bobby Maggard of Austin; 
one daughter, Judith Selz of Houston; two brothers, Ray Maggard of Ennis and 
Claude Maggard of Emhouse; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
