Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder - March 10, 2011 edition ROBERT LEE (BILL) MARBERRY Funeral services were held Sunday at Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield for Robert Lee (Bill) Marberry, 79, of Fairfield who died March 3 in Fairfield. Interment followed at Lake Chapel Cemetery in Fairfield. Mr. Marberry was born June 7, 1931 in Hemphill to Edward and Fay Cupit Marberry. He was a retired machinist and millwright as well as a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in the Korean conflict. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Fairfield. On April 29, 1950, Mr. Marberry married Frances and she preceded him in death in January of 2003. He then married Velma Jackson who also preceded in in death in Nov. 2007. Mr. Marberry was also preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Lindell Marberry. He is survived by his children Bob Marberry and wife Melody of Bellaire, Steve Marberry and wife Vera of Longview, Allan MArberry and wife Debbie of Longview, Paul Marberry and wife Kashal of Dallas, Lynn Marberry of Fairfield, and Scott Jackson of Fairfield; Brother Ben Marberry of Lumberton; Sisters Betty Duke of Longview, Thelma Strahan of Houston, and Mary Phillips of Batson;12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Scott Jackson, Matt Marberry, Norm Ferguson, Jackie Ford, Chuck Marberry, and Wesley Strahan. Officiating services was Don Suits, II. Making arrangements was Capps Memorial Chapel of Fairfield.
