Gerome Beddie Martin Jr.

Graveside services for Gerome Beddie Martin Jr., 79, of Palestine, Texas were 
held April 10, 2007 at the Buffalo Cemetery with Phillip Smith officiating.

Gerome Beddie was born on Oct. 4, 1927 in Martin Town in Freestone County, Texas 
to Gerome Beddie Sr. and Jewell Vann Martin.

Mr. Martin passed away April 7, 2007 in Palestine.

He was raised and lived in Buffalo until he joined the military and was stationed
in West Palm Beach, Fla. where he met his wife, Margaret Ingram. After serving 
his time in the military, he remained in Florida and was employed as a line 
supervisor for Florida Power and Light. Upon retiring, he and his wife returned to
Buffalo.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Gerome and Jewell Martin; son,
Rex Beddie Martin; brothers, Riley Wallace Martin and Earnest Peyton Martin.

Mr. Martin is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret Martin of 
Palestine; daughter, Terry Lee and husband Sam Boaz of Clinton, Ky.; sons, Dale 
Gene and wife Karen Martin of Palestine; Roger Edward and wife Charlotte Martin 
of Buffalo and Mark Steven and wife D’Ann Martin of Groesbeck; brother, James
Vann and wife Bonnie Martin of Buffalo; grandchildren, Missy and husband David 
Alexander, Gerry and wife Melissa Boaz, Dianne Martin, Greg and wife Amy Boaz, 
Wendy and husband Sam Beard, Jeff and wife Jessica Boaz, Rex Beddie and wife 
Tisha Martin, Chad and wife LaShandra Martin, Josh and wife Charity Martin, and 
Sheala Martin and Shauna Martin; great-grandchildren, Jack and Rachel Alexander,
Austin and Delaney Boaz, Riley and Peyten Conn, Jessica and Logan Beard, Kayla 
and Chase Boaz, Charles Beddie Martin, Camden Martin and Tekoa Martin; and 
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Funeral Home in Buffalo was in charge of the arrangements.
