Oakwood 
  OAKWOOD, Sept 5 - L. G. Mayes, aged 75, and a very highly respected citizen 
of Freestone County for the past thirty-six years, died this afternoon from 
congestion of the brain, surrounded by his sorrowing family and friends. He was
buried this afternoon.
