Mary Sue (Cowart) Burdett

Mary Sue Burdett, a resident of Pasedena, died January 17 at Kindred Hospital
in Pasedena. Born in San Antonio on September 2, 1924, Mrs. Burdett had family
in Dew and was the daughter of Joe W. Cowart and Elizabeth White.

Graveside services were held Friday at Dew Cemetery  with Carl Clark
officiating.

Mrs. Burdett was a homemaker and housewife for 20 years until the death of her
husband, Mr. J. R. Burdett in 2003.

She loved to go on fishing trips with her husband, was a Baptist and grew
vegetables.

Along with her husband, Mrs. Burdett had a large garden and provided friends
and neighbors with fresh produce.

She is survived by her sister Lou Henry of Dew; brother Bud Cowart and wife
Jacqueline of Huffman; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special
friend Shardon Anderson of Dew.

Arrangements were by Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
